Routine Maintenance of Mining Vibrating Screens
The primary aspects of routine maintenance for mining vibrating screens include ensuring the tightness of the screen surface and addressing any loosening immediately. The screens should be cleaned regularly to remove debris and dirt. For areas where the paint has peeled off, immediate repair, rust removal, and repainting are necessary. Exposed machined surfaces should be coated with industrial Vaseline to prevent rusting.
Scheduled Inspections of Mining Vibrating Screens
Scheduled inspections for mining vibrating screens consist of weekly and monthly checks.
1. Weekly Inspection:
- Check the tightness of bolts in various parts, including the exciter, screen surface, and support system. If any loosening is detected, tighten the bolts immediately.
- Inspect the condition of the drive system and the speed of connecting bolts.
- Check the tension of the V-belts and adjust them if necessary.
- When inspecting the screen, pay special attention to the reliability of the unbalanced weight blocks on the flywheel. If these blocks are not securely fastened, they may detach from the flywheel during operation, leading to safety incidents.
2. Monthly Inspection:
- Inspect the wear condition of the screen surface. If significant localized wear is observed, take necessary measures (such as repositioning) and retighten the screen surface.
- Inspect the entire screen frame, paying particular attention to the welds of the main beams and crossbeams. Carefully check for any signs of local cracking.
- Check the condition of the bolts on the screen box side plates. If any gaps or looseness are found between the bolts and the side plates, replace the bolts.
Precautions During Maintenance and Repair of Mining Vibrating Screens
1. Exciter and Drive System Disassembly:
- The disassembly of the exciter and drive system should be performed by experienced technicians. Rough handling should be avoided to prevent damage to the machinery. Ensure that all components are clean before reassembly.
2. Screen Replacement:
- After replacing the screen, retighten it every 4 to 8 hours until it is fully tightened.
