Engine Oil Change
- Lift the cab: Position the cab lift pump to the lifting position and use a pry bar to lift the cab to the stop point for maintenance and oil change.
- Drain and inspect: Remove any foreign objects from the oil drain plug andcheck the oil color and debris. After draining the oil, replace the drain plug, ensuring the torque is between 20 – 29 Nm.
- Replace the oil filter: Check the new oil filter for any signs of crushing, damage to the gasket, and for any foreign objects in the gasket groove. When installing, apply oil to the gasket, hand-tighten the filter until the gasket contacts the seat, then use an oil filter wrench to tighten it by 3/4 turn.
- Pournew oil: Pour new oil into the engine until it reaches between the L/H marks on the dipstick. Start the engine and idle to check for leaks at the drain and filter. After shutting down, check the oil level again after 5-10 minutes to ensure it reaches the specified mark.
Fuel and Hydraulic System Maintenance
- Replace the fuel filter: Use a filter wrench to remove and replace the fuel filter elementand replace the water separator, then pump fuel to remove air from the system.
- Check and replace gear oil: Periodically inspect the oil level and replace the gear oil every 10,000 km. Remove the transmission inspection plug and drain plug, drain the oil, clean the drain plug, and refill through the fill hole until a small amount of gear oil spills from the inspection hole.
- Check and replace differential gear oil: Replace the differential gear oil after the first 3,000 km of operation, then every 1,000 km Remove the fill plug, drain the gear oil, and refill through the observation fill hole until gear oil spills from the fill port. For wheel hub reducers, turn the vehicle’s tires to position the drain plug at the lowest point and perform the same draining and refilling operations.
Steering Axle and Tire Maintenance
- Steering axle maintenance: Remove the front axle hub cap, apply special sealant, and replace with a new axle. Replace the grease after the first 3,000 km of operation, and then every 20,000 km, remove the hub, clean and inspect the bearings, and refill with grease.
- Tire inspection: Regularly check for cracks, bulges, foreign objects, or other abnormalities on the tire surface, and ensure tire pressure complies with specifications. Also, check that bolts and nuts are intact and not loose.
Air Filter and Air Conditioning Maintenance
- Air filter maintenance: Clean the air filter every 60-100 hours of use. Loosen the clips, remove the cover, and take out the filter. Clean the inside of the filter housing with clean, dust-free paper, and blow the filter from the inside out with compressed air at 0.5MPa, replacing the filter after a maximum of 5 blows. After maintenance, install the new filter in reverse order of removal and check if the seal is damaged.
- Air conditioning maintenance: Open the front panel and clean the air conditioning filter. Replace the filter as necessary with the engine maintenance cycle.
Daily Inspection and Maintenance
- Pre-trip inspection: Ensure the cargo box and cab are clean, and all components inside the cab are complete and undamaged. Check rearview mirrors, seat belts, wipers, fluid levels, engine casing, brakes, and tires for normal operation.
- Post-trip inspection: Confirm cleanliness and components again. Ensure fire extinguishers and safety hammers are in place and effective. Check for oil leaks from the engine casing, secure stone guards, and ensure symmetrical vehicle height with no oil leaks.
Other Considerations
- Regular cleaning: Frequently clean the exterior to maintain overall cleanliness, which can extend life and improve efficiency. Clean with water or a cloth, avoiding water entering the machine.
- Professional maintenance: For specialized maintenance such as inspecting turbochargers, replacing corrosion inhibitors, and filters, it is recommended to consult professionals.
